Most-watched soccer games on US TV for December 3-9, 2019 Last Saturday’s Manchester Derby on NBCSN and Telemundo averaged a combined 999,000 viewers, delivering both network’s largest audience for a Premier League match since Manchester City battled Liverpool in early November. Given it was televised on NBCSN and not the over-the-air NBC network, it was not surprisingly the least-watched Manchester Derby to be played on a weekend since September 10, 2016, and down 9% from 1.1 million viewers for the same fixture last season. Univision’s broadcasts of their three Liga MX Semifinal matches averaged 1.4 million viewers, down 17% from the semifinals of last year’s Apertura which featured a matchup between Club América and Tigres. To add more context to Univision’s broadcast of the Club America-Morelia match, it made TUDN the No. 1 sports network in prime on Sunday among total viewers. FOX Deportes also saw a drop in viewership for their one Liga MX Semifinal broadcast this Apertura from 825,000 viewers for Monterrey’s home match against Cruz Azul last year to 657,000 for Monterrey’s home match against Necaxa this year.
